A little perspective, without giving the whole thing away.

October 7, 2026 · Independent edition

These hints belong to our October 7, 2026 puzzle. They are not the official krillion.io daily solutions. Each prompt defines a bounded list; use the wording to check whether your candidate belongs before thinking about points.

1 / Geography

Name one of the 50 US states.

The category includes states rather than cities, territories or the federal district. Travel across regions in your head to get beyond the first famous state you recall. The list is broad enough that checking the geographic category is often more useful than guessing at spelling.

Reveal a hint

Use a state name; Washington, DC and territories do not count.

2 / Science

Name one of the first 20 chemical elements by atomic number.

Atomic number defines this boundary. Think through the beginning of the periodic table in order rather than choosing any familiar metal or gas. The game accepts element names, so a chemical symbol alone is not the best way to express your answer.

Reveal a hint

Element names only. The list runs from hydrogen to calcium.

3 / Language

Name a letter of the Greek alphabet.

The category asks for letter names rather than Greek words, mathematical symbols or pronunciations. A useful strategy is to move beyond the letters commonly encountered in school equations. English letter-name spellings make this a naming challenge rather than a Greek keyboard exercise.

Reveal a hint

There are 24. English spellings of letter names are accepted.

4 / Science

Name one of the twelve human cranial nerves.

This is a naming exercise rather than a test of Roman numeral labels. You may remember a nerve through its familiar function, but submit the name requested by the prompt. The revealed list is for game reference and is not medical advice or diagnostic information.

Reveal a hint

Use the nerve’s name, not its Roman numeral. The optic nerve is one example.

5 / Sport

Name an event in the women’s outdoor heptathlon.

This prompt specifies the women’s outdoor version. Avoid mixing its events with the men’s decathlon or an indoor combined-event programme. Grouping races, jumps and throws gives you a recall method, but you still need an event from this exact seven-event set.

Reveal a hint

The seven include three track races and four field events.

6 / History

Name one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

The ancient list is different from modern travel polls and newer lists of monuments. Think of named monuments and their locations, rather than impressive buildings in general. Review the accepted names after playing to see how this edition handles longer monument titles.

Reveal a hint

Think ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern monuments.

7 / Geography

Name one of the twelve sovereign countries in South America.

The boundary is sovereign countries on the South American continent. Overseas territories do not enter this set merely because they appear on the same map. Work along the coast and then inland to recall candidates without drifting into Central America.

Reveal a hint

French Guiana is a territory. Think beyond the largest countries.

Scoring this set

Every accepted answer receives 10, 30, 60 or 100 editorial points. A less familiar answer may receive a higher tier, but these values do not measure how frequently real players choose it. Each of the seven questions contributes at most 100 points, so the daily total is out of 700. Spelling aliases are supported only where listed in our question bank. Review after playing if you want to avoid spoilers.

How to play our independent edition

  1. Choose daily, a random seven-question classic round, or unlimited practice.
  2. Read the precise category and type one answer before the 25-second clock expires. Turn on relaxed play before starting for an untimed session.
  3. An accepted answer ends the question. An unrecognized answer lets you try again while time remains.
  4. Review the accepted answers, then move on. Seven-question games finish with a score out of 700; unlimited challenges end at zero lives or when you choose to finish. Each seven-question checkpoint restores one life, up to three.

Find a less obvious answer

Start with something you know is valid, then scan a different part of the category. For geography, mentally travel across the map. For science, work through the relevant list. Accuracy comes first: something unusual outside the category earns no points.

Hints and fair comparisons

Hints do not reduce your points, but shared results mark when you used them. Answer pages reveal the whole set, so use them after playing if you want a clean challenge. Scores are for personal practice; we do not run a verified leaderboard.

This guide describes Little Fun Games’s edition. The original game’s scoring is different; see the creator’s FAQ.
