How to play
- Select one tile, then another to exchange their letters. You can use a touch screen or Tab and Enter on a keyboard.
- Read each full row and column. Green tiles are in their final positions and stay locked. Yellow tiles belong elsewhere in that row or column; a repeated letter does not guarantee two copies belong there.
- Complete every crossing word before your swaps run out. A swap of identical letters does not spend a move. Use the hints if you get stuck.
Stars reward an efficient solution: five stars at the minimum swap count, then one fewer for each extra swap, down to one star for any completed board. Hints mark your result as assisted. This version has no timer.

Rounds advance in this browser and resume after a reload. The library is finite: word combinations eventually recur, with starting letters shuffled by the round number. Play the daily puzzle when you prefer a shared date.
Tips for the 15-swap limit
Start with words that already have several green letters. Check the intersecting row and column together; fixing one shared tile can clarify two words. A yellow letter is a position clue, not a suggestion to add another copy. Plan a swap that puts both letters closer to their destinations.

Is Waffle Unlimited really unlimited?
Yes. Choose New round whenever you want another 5×5 puzzle. There is no daily round cap. Word layouts rotate through a finite curated library, so words can recur.
Does it cost anything?
No. Every round is free and needs no account.
How is it different from the daily Waffle?
Both modes have six five-letter words and 15 swaps. Daily gives everyone the same date’s board; Unlimited advances to a new round whenever you choose.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Tap one movable tile and then another to swap them. No dragging is needed.
